FORUM
FOR POLITICAL UNITY OF INDIA
TO:ALL POLITICAL PARTIES OF INDIA
Sir,
We draw your kind attention to recent announcement of RBI on
GDP growth; which stands revised for the
current year at 5.8% from 6.5% earlier. High inflation, lower growth, adverse
trade, growing unemployment, higher international petroleum crude prices,
volatile Indian currency and problems in US & European Economy has
compounded the problems of Macro Economic Management. And, this is the time for
“Prudent Political Management” by ‘collaboration’ among Political Parties to
save the Indian economy and Indian people from deeper economic crisis. The
Govt. is and would remain squarely responsible for the “the state of Nation”
today; however, this is not the time for scoring political brownie points nor
for partisan politics. It is time for bold decisions and concerted action while
discussing the pros and cons of each measure in the Parliament; and, leaving
the judgment of omission and commission of Govt. to the final arbiter, the
electorate. However, all political parties should diligently raise the
fundamental issues which have immediate bearing on the National wellbeing.
- Provision
for better conservation and management of our water resources in all its
dimensions.
- Institutional
arrangement for better management of our cities (private management).
- Institutional
provisions for immediate redressal and protection against atrocities on
women.
Hope, all Political Parties of India would consider the issues raised
in this communication at appropriate party forum and decide in the larger
interest of the Nation.
Thanking You, Sir.
Warm Regards,
Bikash Choudhury
Convenor
